Included in your GFS conference fee is an onshore conference and reception before we embark on our cruise to Mexico, Belize and Honduras. We will meet in Miami on Friday November 8 from 1-7:30 pm. Co-hosted by the InterAmerican Institute for Democracy, it is designed to prepare us for our trip to Central America by giving us greater understanding of Latin America’s history, culture and politics. The event also includes an investment seminar co-hosted by GFS, B. Riley Wealth Management and Louis Navellier.

- Armando Valladares - the “Blood Poet of Cuba,” who spent 22 years as a prisoner in Castro’s gulags. His moving story is told in the award-winning short documentary, “And my Prison Bars Bloom.”
- Rosa Maria Paya - freedom fighter from Cuba and daughter of activist Oswaldo Paya, head of the Christian Liberation Movement in Cuba who died in 2012 under mysterious circumstances. Her courageous story has been documented by The Witness Project.
- Carlos Sanchez Berzain - former defense minister for Bolivia
- Carlos Alberto Montaner - exiled Cuban and author
- Rodolfo Milani, moderator
These experts will discuss the history, legacy and future of Cuba, as well as the outlook for all of Latin America. They will also address the ongoing catastrophe of the socialist government in Venezuela and recent elections in Argentina. What is the correct path for Latin America, and how will its path affect your future?
The seminar will end with an opportunity to mingle with our speakers during a closing cocktail reception.

The pre-conference event is included in your cruise fee, but we do need to know how many are coming. We hope you’ll be there! Please RSVP by September 15 if you are planning to attend the pre-conference seminar and reception. After that we will open the seminar to non-cruisers, as we want to provide a full audience for our distinguished speakers. If you would like to invite a friend to attend the pre-conference event, the price for non-cruisers is $89 per person, $149 per couple.

If you have purchased the pre-cruise hotel package, your pre-cruise transfers are included. Others will need to arrange transportation by taxi or Uber to the ship. You can also purchase land transfers both to and from the ship for $49 per person each way.

The airport is 11 miles from the pier. It's Miami, so in addition to the ship disembarkation time, expect the traffic to be heavy. The commute will take approximately 30 minutes, and the airport is typically crowded, especially on the weekends. Therefore, to be on the safe side, try not to schedule your flight prior to 12:00 noon.
In addition to the travel option of free airfare from gateway cities or a $250 travel credit, our GFS cruisers receive Oceania Club Benefits, which provides your choice of one OLife Amenity listed below. At the time of your booking, if you did not select an OLife Amenity, one was chosen for you. You have until August 30th to confirm or change your OLife selection by calling the GFS Cruise Office at 844-225-5838.

- US $200 per person Shipboard Credit - (SBC can be used to purchase any of the excursions).

(Oceania Club Benefits have no cash value and are non-transferable. Benefits other than a shipboard credit cannot be exchanged for a shipboard credit if not taken.)
Passports must be valid through May 17, 2020 - Oceania Cruises requires all travelers, including U.S. citizens, traveling abroad from or to the Caribbean to have a valid passport. All itineraries require that passports are valid for (6) months beyond the completion of your travel. Authorities require that names on your booking must be identical to those on your passport.

Guest Registration Form: A Guest Registration Form must be completed online by July 7, 2019. It is your responsibility to verify the accuracy of all information on file. Go to FAQ “How do I set up my shipboard account” for instructions on how to complete your Guest Registration Form.
There is not an ATM machine on the ship. You will be able to charge shipboard purchases and activities to your shipboard account and pay those by credit card, but you will need to bring cash for our four port days during the cruise.
Dress onboard the ship is resort casual or business casual most of the time. We will have two cocktail receptions and one formal night where you might enjoy wearing something fancier. Oceania requests that casual jeans, shorts, t-shirts, baseball caps, or tennis shoes not be worn in the restaurants after 6 pm. Baseball caps may be worn in the Terrace Café at any time.
The weather in November can be cool at times, so pack a sweater and a light jacket. Shore excursions can be relaxing or rigorous, depending on what you choose (See the FAQ, “What are my shore excursion options?” for details.)
After embarking from Miami, we will enjoy a sumptuous welcome reception just for our group onboard the ship that evening. We will also enjoy a Farewell Reception on our final night. In between we will arrange rotating table seatings so you will have opportunities to sit with different speakers and attendees each night. And of course you will make new friends throughout the week as we travel together.
Our speakers will join us every evening at dinner and our seating arrangements will rotate so that you will have the opportunity to dine at each of their tables.
In addition, David Phillips and Greg Galloway will be available during the cruise to meet with you privately and discuss your personal needs.

Our GFS Mayan Mosaics experience will culminate with a celebratory farewell reception on Friday evening. We’ll share memories, laugh over newly formed inside jokes, exchange contact information, and make plans for future cruises together!
You may leave the ship with or without an official shore excursion. If you explore on your own, please be aware of the all aboard time!
Yes indeed! The most popular excursions often fill up before we set sail. Excursions can be cancelled or changed before embarkation without penalty. The pre-registration deadline for making pre-cruise reservation/purchases is 7 days prior to sailing. After this time, any changes or additional purchases will need to be made after you have embarked the ship. Set up your ship account now in order to reserve shore excursions, dinner in the ship’s specialty restaurants, spa services, and other amenities.

Once you have opened your shipboard account and provided the credit card you will use for incidentals on the ship, you will be able to reserve your shore excursions directly online. Go to FAQ “How do I set up my shipboard account?” for step by step instructions.
Before you can pre-register for any events and complete your online check-in, you will need to set up your shipboard account and guest registration. Here’s how to do it:

Step 3: Create an Account (Complete all Required Fields) - Already booked on Oceania Voyage (YES)
Step 4: Click Register Now Button
Once you are successfully registered, you will be directed to your Account Overview
page where you can view your account and will have the ability to edit your profile.
Add Cruise Voyage to Profile
Step 1: Add this cruise to your profile by clicking the add it here link in the My Next Cruise section and selecting the following information:
Step 2: Voyage details – Ship (Insignia) | Sail date (Nov 9, 2019) | Booking Number (listed on your invoice)

Complete Guest Registration Form
Step 1: Edit Profile – There is a separate tab for each guest. Click on the appropriate guest name to complete each person’s information.
Step 2: Save Profile Information
To claim your benefit, simply select your excursions from the Standard Excursions list, add them to your cart, and press confirm. Your “amount due” will change to “$0.”
Please note that excursions marked OS (Oceania Select) or OE (Oceania Exclusive) are not included in the Option 2 benefit.
Excursions can be cancelled or changed before embarkation without penalty. To cancel or change a shore excursion, you will need to call 800-531-5658 and have your booking number handy.
We will have tables reserved for our group in the main dining room and you will be given different table assignments each night so that you may enjoy mingling with your conference speakers and attendees. However, you are welcome to explore other dining options on the ship as well. Please let Jo Ann Skousen know in advance if you will be dining elsewhere on a specific evening so they can rearrange the table seating for that evening. Her cabin number will be given to you at the opening cocktail reception.
You can make reservations in advance at special dining venues such as La Reserve and Privee through your Oceania shipboard account.
Special Dietary Requests: If you require a special diet or if you need special food items available on board during your cruise, please notify Nicole at least one month prior to sailing to allow ample time to accommodate your needs.
Beauty and Wellness treatments are available onboard at the Canyon Ranch Spa. The Spa will start accepting reservations 30 days prior to sailing (Oct 9). To reserve spa treatments, please contact Canyon Ranch at 877-329-1924.
We have not designed any special shore excursions for this trip, but we can create a group email where each of you can tell others which excursions you're interested in doing.
We sincerely hope you do not have to cancel! This is going to be a spectacular voyage with wonderful people, beautiful vistas, and unforgettable adventures. However, if you do need to cancel, here are the details:
