Harry
Veryser
is the
director of graduate programs in economics at the University of Detroit
Mercy.
He
is the former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Stampings Inc., a
light manufacturing firm in Fraser, Michigan.
Mr. Veryser has
served on the faculties of Northwood University, St. Mary's
College-Orchard Lake, Hillsdale College, and the University of Detroit at
which he taught classes in economics, history, ethics and philosophy. Mr.
Veryser has been teaching for the last 30+ years both at the high school
and collegiate level on both a full and part-time basis. During his high
school career he taught courses in mathematics, history, economics,
government and religion.
In January of 1994,
Mr. Veryser was appointed to the Judicial Tenure Commission of the State
of Michigan by Gov. John Engler. Mr. Veryser also served on the advisory
boards of De La Salle Collegiate High School in Warren, Michigan, St.
Thomas More Academy in Burton, Michigan. He continues to serve for the
Mackinac Center for Public Policy in Midland, Michigan, and the Action
Institute for the Study of Religion and Liberty in Grand Rapids,
Michigan. His articles have appeared in The Detroit News and The
Intercollegiate Review. He is the author of Our Economic Crisis: Sources
and Solutions.
