Maurice
O'Sullivan,
Kenneth Curry Professor
of English at Rollins College, is also co-director of the Florida Center for
Shakespeare Studies and co-director of the Drey Summer Shakespeare Institute and
has served a Chair of the English Department and Chair of the Humanities
Division. The 2006 President of the College English Association, he has written
extensively on literature,
Florida, popular culture, Shakespeare, religion, education, and current events.
His
study of English translations of the Book of Job, titled The
Books of Job, will be published in the spring of 2007; and he has
received a grant from the English Speaking Union to produce a film on
King Lear during the summer of 2007.
In
addition to his teaching and research at Rollins, Professor O'Sullivan has
offered workshops and teacher institutes for many organizations, including
the Great Lakes College Association, the English Speaking Union, and the
Florida Humanities Council. He also lectures widely on topics ranging
from Shakespeare, British Art, and Irish Culture to Florida Studies,
mystery novels, and film. |
